Glossary

Plain definitions for terms that look similar but mean different things in Talynce.

What it is

A quick reference for terms that are easy to confuse in Talynce — most of the confusion in support tickets comes from these near-duplicates.

Terms

  • Applied — the mandatory first pipeline stage. Every candidate-job application starts here; it cannot be disabled in Pipeline Statuses.
  • Candidate Interested — a status/state a self-applied candidate can land in after confirming interest through the public interest link, distinct from a recruiter-driven pipeline stage.
  • Shortlisted / Applied to a job — the act of adding a candidate to a job's pipeline, whether from Candidates, AI Match, or a public apply form.
  • Candidate Response — a disposition label (e.g., "Interested," "Not reachable") recorded in the pipeline drawer after outreach; not a hiring stage. See Statuses, responses, and status emails.
  • Pipeline status — the actual hiring stage (Applied, Screening, Interview, Offer, Hired, Rejected, or custom).
  • Report template — an org-wide, reusable report layout and question set (Administration → Report templates).
  • Saved report / Client report — a specific, editable instance of a report tied to one client, optionally started from a template.
  • Credits — a pay-per-use balance (1 credit = ₹7) for talent pool reveals, outreach contacts, API video interviews, and AI Calling. Separate from your subscription plan/seats.
  • Seats — the number of user accounts your subscription plan allows.
  • Your database — candidates already inside your organization. Contrast with the global talent pool — Talynce's shared candidate network, masked until revealed.
  • Interest link — the public page (/j/{jobId}/{candidateId}) where a candidate confirms interest after outreach.
