Project Associate – Structured Cabling & Physical Infrastructure

We are looking for a Project Associate to support end-to-end execution of structured cabling, physical infrastructure, CCTV, and related infrastructure projects. The role involves project coordination, site execution, vendor and client coordination, documentation, and ensuring projects are completed on time and as per quality standards.
· Assist in planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of structured cabling and physical infrastructure projects.
· Support installation, termination, testing, and commissioning of copper and fiber structured cabling systems.
· Coordinate with implementation teams, engineers, site supervisors, vendors, contractors, and clients for timely project execution.
· Prepare and maintain network diagrams, cabling layouts, asset registers, project documentation, and technical reports.
· Conduct site surveys and support BOQ preparation.
· Assist with CCTV installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance.
· Support data center and server room infrastructure activities including racks, patch panels, and physical infrastructure setup.
· Prepare project plans and monitor project progress using Microsoft Project.
· Track project milestones, dependencies, deliverables, and daily progress against the project plan.
· Conduct on-site meetings with site supervisors and coordinate with engineers to resolve project challenges.
· Engage with clients regarding project dependencies, requirements, issues, and execution updates.
· Maintain effective communication between engineering, implementation, pre-sales, and client teams.
· Manage and coordinate project teams and delegate tasks as required.
· Submit daily project updates and progress reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
· Assist in troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues and implementing timely solutions.
· Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, organizational, safety, and quality standards.
· Support system management activities including monitoring, asset tracking, and preventive maintenance.
· Lead by example, motivate team members, and maintain a professional approach during project execution.
· Handle customer issues, understand customer requirements, and provide practical solutions.
· Stay calm under pressure and adapt quickly to project changes and site-level challenges.
· 1–3 years of experience in structured cabling, physical infrastructure, network infrastructure, or related projects.
· Hands-on knowledge of structured cabling systems including Copper and Fiber.
· Knowledge of cable installation, termination, testing, patch panels, racks, and cabling layouts.
· Hands-on exposure to CCTV systems – IP and Analog.
· Knowledge of data center/server room physical infrastructure.
· Experience in project coordination and site execution.
· Ability to conduct site surveys and assist in BOQ preparation.
· Experience coordinating with engineers, site supervisors, vendors, contractors, and clients.
· Good understanding of project planning, tracking, documentation, and reporting.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
· Good client communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, and coordination abilities.
· Ability to manage a team and work effectively under project deadlines.
· Willingness to work at project sites and handle on-site challenges.
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering, IT, Electronics, Electrical, Networking, or a related field.
· BICSI certification is an advantage.
· CCNA certification is an advantage.
· PMP fundamentals/project management certification is an advantage.
· Exposure to large-scale physical infrastructure or data center projects is preferred.
