JavaScript and ESL Developer
Position Objective
Looking for an experienced JavaScript & Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and enterprise service integrations.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, modern front-end development, APIs, and enterprise service-layer/integration development. The candidate will work closely with business analysts, architects, UI/UX teams, backend developers, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript technologies.
· Design and develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable application components.
· Develop and integrate enterprise services and REST APIs.
· Build integrations between front-end applications and backend enterprise systems.
· Perform data transformation and mapping between different systems and services.
· Work with JSON, XML, REST, and other API-based integration technologies.
· Develop service-layer components to support business applications.
· Implement authentication, authorization, and secure API communication.
· Troubleshoot application and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
· Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
· Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
· Support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
· Identify opportunities for performance improvement, automation, and reusable solutions.
Unique Knowledge & Skill Requirement
· 6+ years of experience in software development with strong hands-on JavaScript experience.
· Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and modern JavaScript development practices.
· Experience developing enterprise-grade web applications and services.
· Strong experience with REST APIs and service-layer development.
· Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, API integration, and data transformation.
· Experience with Node.js or another server-side JavaScript framework is preferred.
· Experience developing and consuming RESTful web services.
· Good understanding of API authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth and JWT.
· Experience with HTML5 and CSS3.
· Experience with Git and version-control systems.
· Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and service-oriented architecture.
· Experience troubleshooting application and API integration issues.
· Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
