Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile App Developer who can independently manage the complete mobile application development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and architecture design to coding, testing, deployment and post-launch maintenance.
The candidate must have proven hands-on experience developing and launching production-ready Android and iOS applications from scratch, including backend/API integration, database management, cloud services, payment gateway integration, GPS tracking, real-time chat, push notifications and app store publishing.
The developer will take end-to-end technical ownership of the CONECT education platform and work independently with minimal supervision.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End App Development
- Develop Android and iOS applications from scratch to production.
- Analyse requirements and convert business ideas into technical specifications.
- Design scalable application architecture and reusable components.
- Develop responsive, high-performance, user-friendly interfaces.
- Handle the complete development lifecycle independently.
- Ensure compatibility across devices, screen sizes and supported OS versions.
2. Technology and Backend Integration
- Develop cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter or React Native, with strong expertise in at least one.
- Integrate REST APIs and, where appropriate, real-time communication technologies.
- Build or maintain backend services, database integrations and authentication systems.
- Work with cloud infrastructure, file storage, APIs and third-party services.
- Implement secure login, role-based access and user permissions.
- Coordinate backend development or independently deliver backend services when required.
3. Advanced Feature Development
- Integrate online payment gateways, UPI and payment verification workflows.
- Implement live GPS bus tracking, maps, routes and location-based notifications.
- Develop real-time parent-teacher chat and messaging features.
- Implement push notifications, attendance, homework, timetable and fee management.
- Integrate photo/video uploads, cloud storage and media management.
- Develop job listings, job applications and recruiter features.
- Implement analytics, AI service integrations and other advanced modules.
4. Security and Performance
- Follow secure coding practices and protect sensitive student, parent and payment-related data.
- Implement appropriate authentication, authorization, encryption and session management.
- Optimize API calls, database queries, memory usage, startup time and application performance.
- Implement error handling, crash reporting, logging and monitoring.
- Test data access restrictions and prevent unauthorized access between schools and colleges.
- Follow applicable privacy requirements and platform policies.
5. Testing and Quality Assurance
- Perform unit, integration, API and end-to-end testing.
- Identify and resolve bugs, crashes and performance issues.
- Test across multiple Android and iOS devices.
- Validate payment transactions, GPS functionality, notifications and real-time messaging.
- Manage beta testing, user acceptance testing and release readiness.
6. Deployment to Google Play Store and Apple App Store
- Independently prepare applications for production release.
- Configure app identifiers, signing certificates, provisioning profiles and build configurations.
- Manage Android App Bundles (AAB), iOS archives and release builds.
- Configure Google Play Console and App Store Connect.
- Handle app metadata, screenshots, descriptions, privacy disclosures and required permissions.
- Manage TestFlight, internal testing, staged rollouts and production releases.
- Resolve app review rejections and compliance issues.
- Manage versioning, updates, hotfixes and subsequent releases.
7. Cloud Infrastructure and Maintenance
- Configure and maintain cloud environments, databases, storage and application services.
- Set up development, staging and production environments.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated build and deployment workflows.
- Configure monitoring, backups, recovery procedures and security updates.
- Troubleshoot production incidents and maintain application availability.
- Manage third-party API integrations, service credentials and configuration securely.
8. Technical Ownership and Documentation
- Independently estimate tasks, plan development and deliver milestones.
- Make suitable technology and architecture decisions.
- Maintain clean, reusable and well-documented code.
- Manage source control using Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
- Prepare technical documentation, API documentation and deployment guides.
- Provide knowledge transfer and technical support to other developers when required.
- Communicate progress, risks and delivery timelines to management.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience with Flutter/Dart or React Native.
- Practical experience delivering production Android and iOS applications.
- Knowledge of native Android and iOS build and deployment processes.
- Backend/API integration and experience with a backend technology such as Node.js, Java, Python or .NET.
- Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Firebase or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with cloud services, file storage and application hosting.
- Payment gateway integration and transaction verification.
- GPS, maps, geolocation and background location handling.
- Real-time chat, WebSockets or equivalent messaging technologies.
- Push notifications and background tasks.
- Git, CI/CD, automated testing, crash reporting and performance optimization.
- Experience with Google Play Console and Apple App Store Connect.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant mobile application development experience preferred.
- Demonstrable experience building applications from initial setup through production deployment.
- At least one or more applications successfully published on Google Play Store and Apple App Store, with verifiable contribution to development and release.
- Hands-on experience managing the complete app release and review process.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently.
- Experience integrating multiple third-party services into production applications.

- Experience developing education, school management, SaaS or multi-tenant applications.
- Experience with scalable architecture and high-user-volume applications.
- Experience with payment reconciliation, live tracking and real-time systems.
- Experience leading technical delivery and mentoring developers.

Candidate Expectations
The selected candidate must be capable of taking ownership from scratch to deployment, including requirement analysis, architecture, UI implementation, backend integration, database connectivity, testing, security, production release and maintenance.
We are looking for a hands-on developer who can deliver working software independently, not someone limited to UI development or basic API integration.
