Role Overview
JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Devices to join our team in Pune City, Maharashtra, India. This remote role focuses on Device Management (MDM/Endpoint Management) and involves deep engagement with operating system internals across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cross-platform applications primarily using Go and Node.js for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Gain or utilize expertise in Windows services, kernels, Event Loggers, Mac Launch daemons, and macOS internals.
- Collaborate with architects, UX designers, and DevOps to ensure high availability, scalability, and exceptional user experiences.
- Work within a Scrum framework to drive agile development.
- Learn and work with mTLS protocols and related security concepts.
- Utilize OAuth/OIDC flows for secure user authentication and service access.
- Write unit test cases, functional test cases, and acceptance tests, along with automating these test cases.
- Contribute to strategic planning and scoping sessions with product managers for Device Management services.

Required Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience developing applications for macOS, Windows, or Linux in modern programming languages (Python, Java, or Golang).
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions) for building, testing, and deploying applications.
- Strong hands-on experience in backend software or full-stack development.
- Willingness to mentor junior team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Swift, C#, C++.
- Experience with device MDM.
- Bonus points for experience with Windows OS services, event loggers, kernels, or macOS Launch daemons.
