Job Summary

We are looking for a Playwright Automation Lead with strong experience in test automation, team leadership, and modern QA practices. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Playwright using JavaScript/TypeScript, automation framework development, API testing, CI/CD integration, and mentoring automation engineers. The role requires ownership of automation strategy, ensuring high-quality releases, and driving continuous improvements across the QA lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers while collaborating with Development and QA teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).

• Define and implement automation best practices to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.

• Participate in test planning, test strategy, execution, defect tracking, and release sign-off.

• Perform API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

• Validate backend data using SQL Server/Oracle and perform database testing.

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Manage source code using Git and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies through JIRA.

• Implement robust test data management and minimize flaky test execution.

• Support automation in cloud/container environments such as Docker, AWS, or Azure.

• Leverage AI-powered testing tools for test case generation, automation acceleration, and validation of AI-generated outputs.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure delivery of high-quality software.

Required Skills

• 6–9 years of experience in Software Test Automation.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).

• Mandatory experience leading or mentoring automation teams.

• Strong expertise in automation framework design (POM, Modular Framework).

• Experience with API testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar tools.

• Strong SQL skills with database testing experience (SQL Server/Oracle).

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and JIRA.

• Familiarity with Docker, AWS, or Azure environments.

• Understanding of AI/ML testing concepts and AI-assisted testing tools.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
