Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of enterprise-grade WordPress and PHP-based web applications.

• Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, Gutenberg blocks, and scalable CMS solutions.

• Integrate WordPress with third-party applications using RESTful APIs and custom plugins.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Define technical architecture, coding standards, and best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.

• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and optimize application performance and scalability.

• Plan development activities, estimate project timelines, assign tasks, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Mentor and lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and career development support.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsive design, security, and overall website performance.

• Manage source code using Git and track development activities through JIRA.

• Drive Agile development practices, participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.

• Lead the adoption of AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot to improve development productivity and code quality.

• Evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions, automate engineering workflows, and establish best practices for responsible AI usage across the development team.

• Stay updated with emerging web technologies, WordPress trends, and AI innovations, recommending improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and product quality.
