Senior Front End Developer - Bengaluru, KA

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer with strong experience in React and Next.js to join our growing engineering team in Bengaluru.

You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining modern, scalable web applications. You will work closely with backend engineers, product stakeholders and engineering leadership to build high-quality user experiences.

This is a hands-on engineering role offering significant ownership, technical challenges and the opportunity to influence architecture and engineering practices in a growing product-focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using React and Next.js.

• Build responsive, reusable and high-performance user interfaces.

• Translate product requirements and designs into robust technical implementations.

• Develop reusable component libraries and frontend architecture.

• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• Implement effective state management and data-fetching strategies.

• Optimise application performance, accessibility and SEO.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.

• Write clean, maintainable and testable code.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from concept to production.

• Take ownership of technical decisions and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 4 - 6 years of professional frontend development experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with React.js.

• Experience building production applications using Next.js.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.

• Experience integrating REST APIs and working with asynchronous data.

• Good understanding of frontend architecture and state management.

• Experience with Git and modern development workflows.

• Familiarity with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library or Playwright.

• Understanding of web performance optimisation and browser fundamentals.

Good to Have:

• Working knowledge of Node.js and backend development fundamentals.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, relational database concepts and SQL.

• Experience building SaaS or enterprise-grade applications.

• Understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG) and SEO.

• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.

• Experience with real-time applications and WebSockets.

• Exposure to AI-powered applications and LLM integrations.

• Experience working in agile, product-focused engineering teams.
