Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our TCOE team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing, API performance validation, RPA, Power Apps and Azure cloud-based application testing, and ETL performance validation. This role requires excellent client-facing skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure application scalability, stability, and responsiveness under varying load conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of Power Automate app performance monitoring and Azure performance monitoring tools/features, including performance optimization, diagnostics, and observability capabilities.

• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

• Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts/scenarios using Apache JMeter.

• Create workload models and execute load, stress, spike, endurance, Volume and scalability testing.

• Analyze latency and timeout root causes and provide recommendations for fixes.

• Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.

• Perform API performance testing to validate reliability, response times, and throughput of web services.

• Validate performance of ETL workflows using Informatica, including large-volume data processing and batch execution behavior.

• Design and execute performance test plans for applications hosted on Azure, Microsoft power Apps and other RPA tools.

• Monitor system/application performance using logs, dashboards, and available monitoring tools during execution.

• Communicate effectively with clients to gather non-functional requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.

Mandatory Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience in performance testing using Apache JMeter.

• Strong understanding of performance testing concepts such as load, stress, endurance, spike, and scalability testing.

• Experience in API performance testing and service validation.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, GitHub for integrating performance tests into pipelines.

• Strong understanding of RPA, Azure & Power Apps based services

• Strong knowledge of Agile testing methodology.

• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, ADO.

• Good understanding of SQL/database testing for backend validation and performance analysis.

• Ability to analyze response times, throughput, resource utilization, and identify bottlenecks.

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to other performance testing tools such as LoadRunner.

• Basic understanding of automation/testing tools for end-to-end validation support.

• Ability to strategize and estimate new performance testing requirements/projects.

• Certification in testing/performance testing such as CSTS, CPTP, or equivalent.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree / MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality and complex testing solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to multitask and flexibility with timing.
