Role Overview
As a Software Engineer II - Java at JPMorganChase in Hyderabad, Telangana, you will be part of an agile team within the Trust & Security division of Consumer Community Banking. This role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance, design, and deliver software components for the firm's advanced technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Write secure and high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
- Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and their technical implications.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance automation value.
- Perform technical troubleshooting to address basic complexity problems.
- Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to support secure and stable application development.
- Learn and apply system processes, methodologies, and skills for developing secure and stable code and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 2+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, demonstrating the ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
- Experience across the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Developer – Associate).
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
