Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Test Lead with strong expertise in Telecom Domain Testing across 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in IMS, EPC, and SDM domains and a proven track record of leading both manual and automation testing teams.

The candidate will be responsible for defining test strategies, leading end-to-end testing activities, driving automation initiatives, managing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for Telecom products across IMS, EPC, and SDM domains.

• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering manual and automation testing.

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain:

  • Functional Testing

  • Integration Testing

  • Regression Testing

  • Interoperability Testing

  • Performance Testing

• Lead automation initiatives and contribute to automation framework design and maintenance.

• Coordinate with R&D, Domain Experts, and Market Services teams for issue resolution and product quality.

• Perform log analysis, troubleshooting, and defect validation.

• Drive defect triaging, prioritization, tracking, reporting, and closure.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend quality improvements.

• Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

• Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on testing methodologies and automation practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Telecom Domain Testing.

• Strong knowledge of 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G technologies.

• Hands-on experience in:

  • IMS

  • EPC

  • SDM

• Working knowledge of SDM components:

  • HSS

  • HLR

  • UDM

  • One-NDS

  • SDL

• Good understanding of 4G EPC and 5G Core architectures, interfaces, and call flows.

• Hands-on experience with telecom protocols:

  • SIP

  • Diameter

  • HTTP/2

  • MAP

  • LDAP

  • SPML

  • SOAP

  • SBI Architecture

• Experience with protocol analysis and packet capture tools:

  • Wireshark

  • TCPDUMP

• Experience leading Manual and Automation Testing teams.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

• Hands-on experience in automation scripting using:

  • Python

  • Robot Framework

  • Selenium

• Experience with CI/CD tools:

  • GitLab CI/CD

  • Jenkins

• Experience using:

  • Jira

  • HPQC/ALM

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

• Identify, classify, and manage defects based on severity and priority.

• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical defects.

• Coordinate with Domain Experts and R&D teams for defect resolution.

• Validate fixes and ensure timely closure of defects.

• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, and status dashboards.

• Ensure delivery of high-quality software through effective test planning and execution.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Nokia Telecom Products.

• Exposure to Telecom customer lab environments and production deployments.

• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD-driven test automation.

• Experience in telecom network troubleshooting and protocol analysis.
