Responsibilities
As a Technical Product Manager, you will:
· Own and drive the product roadmap for your area - balancing customer needs, business priorities, technical health, and strategic bets.
· Engage directly with customers, stakeholders, and business teams to deeply understand pain points, workflows, and opportunities.
· Translate business problems into clear, well-scoped product requirements - including user stories, acceptance criteria, API contracts, and success metrics.
· Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and design to evaluate technical approaches, trade-offs, and feasibility.
· Prioritize and groom the backlog; ensure the engineering team always has a clear, well-defined "next" set of work.
· Lead sprint planning, backlog reviews, demos, and stakeholder reviews in partnership with the EM/Tech Lead.
· Define and track product success metrics - adoption, usage, performance, reliability, and business outcomes.
· Run discovery activities - customer interviews, usability sessions, competitive analysis, and data analysis - to inform product decisions.
· Drive go-to-market readiness in partnership with marketing, sales, and customer success - including positioning, documentation, training, and rollout plans.
· Make trade-off decisions on scope, time, quality, and technical debt; communicate clearly when priorities shift.
· Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate roadmap, progress, risks, and changes clearly and proactively.
· Partner with architecture and engineering on technical strategy - including platform investments, API design, integration patterns, and developer experience.
· Stay current with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies relevant to your product area.
· Champion the voice of the customer inside the engineering organization.
Qualifications
· Minimum 8 years of total experience, with at least 4+ years in a product management role - preferably for technical products, platforms, APIs, or developer-facing capabilities.
· Strong technical background - prior experience as an engineer, solution architect, or technical consultant is highly preferred.
· Ability to read code at a basic level, understand system architecture diagrams, and engage deeply with engineers on technical trade-offs.
· Strong understanding of modern software development practices - APIs, microservices, cloud (AWS preferred), CI/CD, and Agile/SCRUM.
· Experience defining and shipping technical products end-to-end — from discovery through launch and iteration.
· Proven ability to write clear, well-structured product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
· Strong analytical skills - comfortable using data, metrics, and SQL/BI tools to inform decisions.
· Excellent stakeholder management - able to align engineering, business, design, and leadership around a shared roadmap.
· Strong customer empathy and discovery skills - comfortable running interviews and translating insights into product direction.
· Experience working with distributed teams across multiple geographies.
· Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
· Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Tableau).
· Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
