Job Title: Power BI & SQL Developer – BI Analytics Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Power BI & SQL Developer with strong expertise in enterprise BI, data warehousing, SQL development, and dashboard performance optimization. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, and modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor.
Design, develop, deploy, and support enterprise BI solutions using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Gateway, and Report Builder.
Develop governed semantic models, Star/Snowflake schemas, KPIs, advanced DAX, Power Query transformations, drill-throughs, and high-performance dashboards.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries using CTEs, joins, window functions, procedures, aggregations, and execution plans.
Integrate and reconcile data from Hive, Impala, HDFS, Hadoop/Cloudera, SFTP, Parquet, and CSV sources.
Implement incremental refresh, Row-Level Security (RLS), query folding, aggregations, storage modes, gateway administration, deployment, and workspace governance.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-quality, refresh, connectivity, and dashboard performance issues through effective root-cause analysis.
Apply strong data warehousing, testing, documentation, coding, and analytical practices.
Work independently, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and translate ambiguous business requirements into practical BI solutions.
Take ownership of customer-facing delivery with a hands-on, adaptable, pragmatic, and accountable approach.
Use GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor responsibly for development, testing, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL.
Advanced knowledge of DAX, Power Query, semantic modeling, and data visualization.
Strong understanding of Star/Snowflake schema and data warehousing concepts.
Experience with Power BI Service, Gateway, Report Builder, RLS, incremental refresh, and workspace governance.
Strong SQL skills including CTEs, joins, window functions, stored procedures, aggregations, and query optimization.
Exposure to Hive, Impala, HDFS, Hadoop/Cloudera, SFTP, Parquet, and CSV.
Experience troubleshooting data refresh, connectivity, data quality, and performance issues.

Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Candidates who have worked on enterprise-scale Power BI implementations, complex data integration, dashboard optimization, and customer-facing BI delivery will be preferred.
