Role Overview
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, you will be a key member of the API Marketplace team within Consumer and Community Banking. This role involves designing and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products while executing critical technology solutions across various business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while thinking beyond conventional approaches to solve technical problems.
- Create secure and high-quality production code, maintaining algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables, validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to maximize the value of automation.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficient in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages (Java, Python, Scripting Languages).
- Practical cloud-native experience with AWS.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, demonstrating the ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with API Gateways and Security.
