Role Overview
Join Amazon as a Software Development Engineer II in the Alexa Multimodal Initiatives team located in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. Be part of the team that developed the Echo Show, a touch-screen Alexa device that supports video calling, music, weather, and more. Help drive innovation by developing features that enhance the user experience across Alexa devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain new systems while collaborating with Amazon and third-party services and device teams.
- Ensure seamless conversation experiences with Alexa by delivering services that respond with minimal latency at Amazon scale.
- Work on device frameworks, web services, APIs, and large-scale data infrastructure.
- Collaborate with UX and Product owners to define customer experience and product direction.
- Deliver high-quality software in a dynamic, team-focused Agile/Scrum environment.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 4+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
- Proficient in programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
