About OORO

OORO is building a smart, connected digital advertising ecosystem that transforms everyday vehicles into technology-powered advertising networks.

Our platform combines Android-based display systems, real-time device management, GPS technology, cloud infrastructure, and intelligent advertising delivery.

We're looking for a passionate Android & IoT Software Development Intern who enjoys building real-world applications, working with connected hardware, and solving challenging engineering problems.

What You'll Work On

  • Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Android SDK.
  • Build and improve our Android Screen Player for digital advertising displays.
  • Work on DeviceOS, our Android-based device management and monitoring system.
  • Implement remote device configuration, health monitoring, and OTA application updates.
  • Develop offline-first media playback, local caching, and synchronization systems.
  • Integrate GPS tracking, location services, and backend APIs.
  • Implement device pairing, authentication, and secure communication.
  • Improve device performance, reliability, and automated recovery mechanisms.
  • Debug Android applications using ADB, Logcat, and physical hardware testing.
  • Collaborate on Android driver application features, including onboarding and device operations.
  • Work closely with our full-stack development team to integrate devices with cloud services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.

Required Technical Skills

  • Kotlin or Java for Android development.
  • Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.
  • REST API integration and JSON.
  • Basic understanding of Android background services.
  • Git and GitHub.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience building and running Android applications.

Good to Have

  • Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture.

Working Android applications, GitHub repositories, and practical projects matter more to us than certificates.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience with real Android-powered connected devices.
  • Opportunity to develop technology used in physical advertising systems.
  • Direct collaboration with OORO's founding team.
  • Exposure to Android engineering, IoT, cloud infrastructure, and real-time systems.
