Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Python Developer with 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong Python programming skills, experience with backend development, REST APIs, databases, and a good understanding of software development best practices.
The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-performance applications and deliver quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using Python.
- Build and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and application integrations.
- Write clean, reusable, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Work with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Develop and optimize database queries using SQL and relational databases.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
- Use Git or other version control systems to manage source code.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, scalability, and security.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow established coding standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, including object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience with at least one Python framework: Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Hands-on experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
- Good knowledge of SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, debugging, and exception handling.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and API security fundamentals.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming and task queues such as Celery.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and basic shell scripting.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and Agile development methodologies.
