## Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Platforms at LinkedIn in Bengaluru, Karnataka, you will design and develop platforms that power enterprise products. We seek engineers with deep expertise in managing high-throughput, data-intensive systems.
## Key Responsibilities
- Scale distributed applications, making architectural trade-offs using synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, while ensuring quality and speed in code delivery.
- Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
- Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and regularly checked in for continuous integration.
- Identify, leverage, and successfully promote opportunities to enhance engineering productivity.
## Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software design, development, and algorithm-related solutions.
- 7+ years of programming experience in Java and/or any object-oriented language.
## Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant work experience.
- Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with object-oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++).
- Proven coding skills in a high-level language with the ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
- Experience building web applications and services with IDEs and general development practices.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining large-scale distributed systems involving high-volume data processing.
- Expertise in building platforms like centralized authorization leveraged by multiple teams for secured product experiences.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, focusing on data modeling, performance tuning, and operational reliability.
- Experience with real-time data streaming frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Beam) and event-driven architectures.
- Deep understanding of system bottlenecks, data consistency trade-offs, and techniques for ensuring data integrity at scale.
