HR Operations / HR Admin – Job Description

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR Operations / HR Admin professional to manage and streamline day-to-day HR administrative activities and employee lifecycle operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in HR processes, employee records management, payroll coordination, onboarding, compliance, HRMS systems, and vendor coordination.

The role requires excellent organizational skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to ensure smooth HR operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and labor regulations.


Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, exits, and full & final settlements.

  • Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation accurately.

  • Coordinate with payroll teams for attendance, leave management, reimbursements, and salary inputs.

  • Handle HR letters and documentation such as offer letters, appointment letters, experience letters, and relieving letters.

  • Ensure HR policies and processes are implemented effectively across departments.

  • Support performance management and appraisal cycle coordination.

HR Administration

  • Oversee office administration and employee support activities.

  • Manage employee attendance, leave records, and shift schedules.

  • Coordinate with vendors for housekeeping, travel, office supplies, and facility management.

  • Ensure workplace compliance, employee safety, and adherence to company policies.

  • Maintain employee files and statutory records as per audit requirements.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Support statutory compliance activities related to labor laws, PF, ESIC, gratuity, and audits.

  • Generate HR reports, MIS dashboards, attrition reports, and employee analytics.

  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with organizational standards.

Employee Engagement

  • Assist in employee engagement initiatives, wellness programs, and internal events.

  • Address employee queries related to HR policies, attendance, benefits, and documentation.

  • Support HRBP and leadership teams in implementing HR initiatives.


Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations and administration processes.

  • Good understanding of payroll coordination and statutory compliance.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.

  • Experience in handling HR operations for mid-size or large organizations.


Preferred Candidate Profile

  • 5–7 years of experience in HR Operations / HR Administration.

  • Experience in employee lifecycle management and HR compliance.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong stakeholder coordination and problem-solving skills.
