MySQL Developer – 2–5Years Experience

About the Role
We're looking for a MySQL Developer with 2–3 years of experience in database development, SQL programming, database optimization and administration.
You'll be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing and maintaining MySQL databases supporting business applications and reporting requirements.
What You'll Own
- Database Development – Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views and triggers.
- Database Optimization – Monitor performance, troubleshoot slow queries and implement indexing and tuning strategies.
- Database Administration – Handle backups, recovery, export/import, maintenance and data integrity.
- Database Integration – Work with application developers and support database integration requirements.
- Multi-Database Support – Work with MySQL and other database environments including MS SQL, Oracle and MS Access.
- Migration & Connectivity – Support database migration, deployment, FTP/SFTP connectivity and related activities.
What We're Looking For
- 2–5 years of hands-on MySQL Database Development experience
- Strong SQL, joins, subqueries and query optimization skills
- Experience with stored procedures, functions, views and triggers
- Understanding of database normalization and relational database concepts
- Experience with database export/import and performance tuning
- Familiarity with MySQL Workbench or similar tools
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Exposure to Linux, shell scripting, ETL or database migration is a plus
- Knowledge of AI and AI-assisted productivity tools
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB or other relational/database technologies.
- Exposure to Java or .NET applications interacting with databases.
- Understanding of ETL processes and data migration.
- Familiarity with Linux environments.
- Knowledge of batch scripts and shell scripting.
- Experience with cloud database platforms.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and AI-assisted productivity tools.
