Our mission is to enable researchers to find cures faster, empower every clinician to be an expert, and help families make the most informed decisions about their care. Achieving Truveta’ s ambitious vision requires an incredible team of talented and inspired people with a special combination of health, software and big data experience who share our company values.

This position is based out of India (Hyderabad).

Who We Need

  • Truveta is rapidly building a talented and diverse engineering team to solve complex healthcare and technology challenges. We are seeking a Software Engineer with a strong backend services engineering background and hands-on experience building reliable, scalable, cloud-native services.
  • This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy designing and developing backend APIs, distributed services, data-driven applications, and platform capabilities using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies. You will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, architects, security teams, and other engineers to build services that power Truveta’s healthcare data platform.

This Opportunity

Join the founding team of the Truveta India Development Center (IDC) and play a pivotal role in shaping its future. As one of the initial members, you'll help build and scale a high-impact organization while contributing to products and platforms that advance healthcare through data and AI. This is a unique opportunity to influence both the technical direction and the culture of a growing global engineering hub.

  • Patients, doctors, and medical researchers deserve the same cutting-edge technological innovations that have transformed other industries. We are looking for passionate software engineers who are excited to apply their backend engineering skills to help revolutionize healthcare.
  • In this role, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and operate cloud-native backend services that support Truveta’s platform. You will build APIs, service integrations, data processing capabilities, and scalable application components using Azure, .NET, and modern engineering practices.
  • This opportunity requires strong software engineering fundamentals, creative problem solving, and the ability to build high-quality services that are secure, observable, reliable, and maintainable at scale.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, security teams, and other engineers to deliver reliable platform capabilities.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and production issue resolution.
  • Build secure services that follow engineering best practices for authentication, authorization, data protection, and compliance.
  • Contribute to observability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting for backend services.
  • Support deployment and operational readiness of services using CI/CD pipelines and automated validation.
  • Learn and apply domain knowledge related to healthcare data, distributed systems, and large-scale cloud platforms.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing backend services, APIs, or cloud-based applications.
  • Hands-on programming experience with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
  • Experience designing and building REST APIs, microservices, or distributed backend systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of software engineering practices including unit testing, code reviews, debugging, source control, and CI/CD.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts such as authentication, authorization, secrets management, and secure API design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving engineering environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualification

  • Hands-on experience with Azure services.
  • Experience building scalable services using ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework, or similar frameworks.
