ServiceNow Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining solutions on the ServiceNow platform by developing custom applications, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript and web services
Must have worked on ServiceNow Ticketing System as Developer role
Should have ServiceNow Integration with middleware platforms , monitoring tools, building custom solutions.
Develop integrations with other systems and applications using ServiceNow's web services and APIs.
Write custom scripts and business rules in JavaScript to add dynamic behavior to workflows and applications
Configure the platform, including forms, lists, and reports, to improve user experience and functionality.
Should be smart enough to analyze the business opportunity , find opportunity to automate , adopt AI.
Should be familiar with ITIL process and concept.
Familiarity with ServiceNow products Virtual Agent, Now Assist and Integration Hub.
Should do testing and validation.
Should have clear understanding on deployment of changes.
Find opportunities for automation , ROI by looking at the history of tickets and SOPs.
Create comprehensive documentation
Must have :
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Business Rules, and UI policies
• Solid background in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scalability optimization
• Practical experience in integrating Agentic AI for automated decision-making and workflow orchestration.
• Proven hands-on skills in REST/SOAP API integrations and working with external AI models.
Good to have : ServiceNow Certified System Administrator/Application Developer.
