Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on ERP Systems Developer to independently develop, implement, and maintain advanced automations, integrations, and custom reporting within our existing Order Time Inventory system.
This is a technical development position, not an ERP data-entry, IT support, or general administrative role.
Key Deliverables
- Advanced ERP Automation Development
- Design, code, deploy, and maintain custom business rules using REST APIs and Python or JavaScript.
- Automate inventory allocation, shortage detection, order fulfillment exceptions, and purchasing alerts.
- Implement scheduled and event-driven workflows, including error handling, logging, and recovery.
- Maintain automation logic independently without relying on external developers.
- REST API Integration & Data Processing
- Build and maintain reliable integrations between Order Time and external applications.
- Handle JSON data, API authentication, pagination, validation, and synchronization.
- Implement secure API-based data extraction and permitted record updates.
- Advanced Inventory & Order Reporting
- Build automated reports for inventory availability, incoming shipments, customer order fill rates, and outstanding purchase orders.
- Develop exception reports identifying shortages, overdue orders, and inventory commitments.
- Use Order Time’s built-in report designer, REST API, and external reporting tools as required.
- ERP Configuration & Workflow Improvement
- Configure Order Time workflows, fields, reporting structures, and available system settings.
- Troubleshoot inaccurate reporting, integration failures, and automation errors.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure reliable daily operation.
Mandatory Technical Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on ERP integration, automation, or technical development experience of Inventory and Distribution heavy business models.
- Proven programming experience in Python or JavaScript.
- Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and Postman.
- Experience developing automations using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, n8n, or equivalent.
- Ability to develop custom reporting and apply inventory, purchasing, and sales-order business logic.
- Experience with API authentication, pagination, error handling, logging, and scheduled execution.
- Ability to independently deliver production-ready solutions, not just document requirements for outside consultants.
