Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mid-tier services and REST APIs within the Java ecosystem.
- Utilize excellent programming skills in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Work on database-centric applications with a strong knowledge of SQL using Postgres and Oracle.
- Implement Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and SOLID principles in your work.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced Agile software development environment.
- Conduct unit, regression, and integration testing for large software portfolios.
- Debug and solve logical problems efficiently while adapting to new technologies.
- Manage and work with large legacy codebases.
- Use AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code.
- Understand and apply security concepts and tools like Snyk and Blackduck.
- Familiarity with enterprise security applications such as IBM Virtual Identity Access (IVIA), WebSeal, Siteminder, and Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of strong development experience.
- Proficient in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Experience with database-centric applications and SQL (Postgres, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
- Familiarity with build tools like Ant and Maven.
- Proven experience in unit, regression, and integration testing.
- Ability to work with large legacy codebases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Groovy is an added advantage.
- Experience with security concepts and tools.
- Knowledge of enterprise security applications is a plus.
