About Us
We are building a healthcare technology company focused on making hospital operations more efficient, connected and data-driven.
Our long-term vision is to help hospitals gain a unified view of their operations, identify bottlenecks, coordinate departments more effectively and make better decisions using reliable data and, where useful, artificial intelligence.
We are currently in the early discovery and product-development stage. Our initial focus is to understand real hospital problems and develop a working prototype that addresses a validated, high-impact need.
About the Role
We are looking for a strong, hands-on Founding Software Engineer to work closely with the founder and technical leadership to design and build our first software prototype.
You will help turn an early product concept into a functional, secure and scalable application. You will have significant ownership over technical decisions and the opportunity to shape the company's engineering foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain the initial web application and its backend systems.
- Build intuitive user interfaces and reliable APIs.
- Design databases and data models appropriate for the product.
- Develop dashboards, workflows, alerts and reporting features based on validated customer requirements.
- Explore integrations with hospital information systems and other enterprise software, where required.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable and well-documented code.
- Implement authentication, role-based access controls, secure data handling and appropriate audit logging.
- Test the application, troubleshoot bugs and improve performance.
- Collaborate with the founder, technical lead, product team and healthcare domain experts.
- Help evaluate technical tools, frameworks, cloud infrastructure and third-party services.
- Build a prototype that can eventually be tested with prospective customers under appropriate security and data-access safeguards.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience building web applications and backend services.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, Git and software testing.
- Experience with a frontend framework such as React, or an equivalent technology.
- Understanding of secure software development practices.
- Ability to work independently, solve ambiguous problems and make sound technical decisions.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work in an early-stage environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building enterprise SaaS products or business-critical software.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology, electronic medical records, hospital information systems or healthcare data integrations.
- Experience working with analytics dashboards or data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled products and integrating AI services, where appropriate.
Healthcare experience is an advantage, but strong engineers from other industries are welcome.
