Role Overview

As an integral member of an agile team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering reliable, secure, and scalable technology products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, employing innovative approaches to build solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity across complex deliverables, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
• Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to maximize automation value.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software code development.
• Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Full-stack Java (enterprise) experience, including building, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java 17+.
• Strong experience delivering through the SDLC using Agile methodologies.
• Microservices development and containerization with deployment on AWS EKS and/or ECS (to EC2), plus Terraform scripting and production AWS deployments.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, demonstrating the ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
• Experience in REACTIVE Java programming, React JS, and Angular frameworks is an added advantage.
• Experience with an RDBMS (preferably Oracle or PostgreSQL).
