Role Purpose

This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role for a visionary technology leader passionate about building the digital bank of the future.

Expectation from the individual is to Lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of AU’s digital consumer technology platforms, leveraging next-generation technologies—including GenAI, cloud-native architectures, and advanced analytics—to create a seamless, secure, and innovative banking experience for millions of customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Digital Platform Leadership: Architect and deliver a scalable, secure, and high-performance digital banking platform (AU 0101, merchant app, corporate internet banking, video banking, website, WhatsApp banking, chatbot) with a focus on rapid innovation and customer-centricity.

• Next-Gen Technology Adoption: Drive adoption of GenAI, automation, cloud, and modern engineering practices (DevSecOps, CI/CD, microservices) to accelerate product delivery and operational excellence.

• Strategic Delivery: Own end-to-end delivery of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, timely execution, and measurable impact on customer experience and business growth.

• Innovation & Transformation: Identify and implement emerging technologies to future-proof the bank’s digital offerings. Foster a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and digital transformation.

• Data & AI: Champion data-driven decision-making, leveraging AI/ML for personalization, risk management, and operational efficiency. Ensure robust data governance and compliance.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business, product, and operations leaders to define digital priorities, manage dependencies, and deliver value at scale.

• Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Evaluate and manage technology partners to ensure best-in-class solutions and cost-effectiveness.

• Talent & Culture: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing engineering team. Promote knowledge sharing, agile practices, and a growth mindset. 
  
  Experience & Qualifications

• 15+ years in technology leadership, with proven success in digital platform delivery (preferably BFSI/digital banking).

• Deep expertise in digital banking technologies, GenAI, cloud, cybersecurity, and modern software engineering.

• Track record of leading large-scale digital transformation and delivering complex technology programs.

• Education: BE/B.Tech, MBA from Tier 1 Institute in India.
