Full-Stack Software/AI Engineer (Contractor)

About the Role

We are an early-stage technology startup looking for a highly motivated, self-driven Full-Stack Software / AI Engineer to help build next-generation AI-powered solutions for the real estate industry.

We are particularly interested in engineers who combine strong full-stack development capabilities with hands-on experience in Agentic AI, machine learning (ML), and generative AI.

The ideal candidate is comfortable developing modern web applications, designing scalable backend systems, building autonomous AI agents, and integrating intelligent workflows into real-world products.

This is a hands-on opportunity to work closely with founders, influence technical decisions, and help shape a product from the ground up.

Prior experience in real estate or PropTech is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Next.js, React, NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and Python.
• Architect scalable backend services, APIs, databases, and cloud-based systems.
• Design and implement agentic AI systems, including autonomous agents, multi-agent workflows, tool calling, and intelligent task orchestration.
• Build and integrate LLM-powered applications using OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and other AI models.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, vector search, and knowledge-based AI applications.
• Apply machine learning techniques to data analysis, prediction, classification, recommendation, and automation.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities into production-ready web applications.
• Develop intelligent solutions for real estate data processing, property analysis, document understanding, and workflow automation.
• Evaluate AI model performance, reliability, accuracy, latency, and cost.
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate directly with founders to translate product ideas into practical, scalable solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, NestJS, and Node.js.
• Solid experience with Python for backend development, AI applications, or automation.
• Experience developing production-grade full-stack applications.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-powered software features.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, PostgreSQL or similar databases, and modern application architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently deliver technical solutions.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

We are especially interested in candidates with practical experience across the following areas:

Agentic AI & Generative AI

• Building autonomous AI agents and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar frameworks.
• Implementing tool calling, agent memory, planning, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Building RAG systems using vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, or pgvector.
• Experience with prompt engineering, model evaluation, and LLM optimization.

Machine Learning

• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
• Understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, predictive modeling, and recommendation systems.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Ability to deploy and integrate ML models into production applications.

Full-Stack Engineering

• Strong end-to-end experience with Next.js, NestJS, Node.js, Python, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing scalable SaaS platforms and cloud-native applications.
• Familiarity with microservices, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with AWS, and Google Cloud.

Real Estate / PropTech

• Prior experience building real estate software platforms.
• Familiarity with MLS, RESO, RETS, property listing data, and real estate APIs.
• Understanding of property transactions, property management, CRM systems, and real estate business workflows.
• Experience with real estate analytics, property valuation, or AI-driven property intelligence.

Engagement & Compensation

Engagement Structure

This is initially a full-time independent contractor role.

As the company grows and establishes a legal entity or implements appropriate employment arrangements in the candidate's respective country or jurisdiction, there may be an opportunity to transition into a formal employment position, subject to applicable laws, business requirements, and mutual agreement.

Compensation

As an early-stage startup, we are currently operating with a lean budget. Initial compensation may be below prevailing market rates.

We believe in being transparent about this and are seeking someone who understands the realities of an early-stage venture and is excited about the opportunity to build something meaningful.

Compensation will be discussed openly based on experience, skills, location, and the company's current budget.

Compensation reviews may be considered as the company grows and its financial position evolves; however, future increases are not guaranteed.

Pay: ₹325,000.00 - ₹1,610,000.00 per year
