Junior PHP/Laravel Developer - Remote

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of PHP and Laravel fundamentals, enjoys programming, and is eager to learn.

You don’t need to be an expert or know every technology. However, you should be comfortable with Laravel basics, understand programming logic, and be able to figure things out with guidance when needed.

You will work on both our in-house applications and client projects, including developing new features, maintaining existing functionality, and fixing bugs.

We value practical knowledge, logical thinking, and the ability to learn quickly more than years of experience or academic qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Work on in-house software products and client projects.
• Build and modify application features, CRUD modules, and REST APIs.
• Work with MySQL databases and Laravel Eloquent ORM.
• Identify, debug, and fix application issues.
• Understand requirements and implement assigned tasks.
• Write clean, understandable, and maintainable code.
• Use Git/GitHub for version control.
• Research problems and explore solutions independently when required.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and questions clearly.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of Core PHP and basic OOP concepts.
• Basic practical knowledge of Laravel.
• Understanding of MVC architecture.
• Familiarity with Laravel routes, controllers, models, and migrations.
• Experience creating basic CRUD operations.
• Basic knowledge of MySQL queries and database relationships.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with REST APIs.
• Basic Git/GitHub knowledge.

You do not need to be an expert in all these areas, but you should understand the fundamentals and be willing to improve.

AI-Assisted Coding

We welcome the use of AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.

Using AI to write code, understand concepts, debug issues, or improve productivity is absolutely fine.

However, we expect you to:

• Understand what the AI-generated code does.
• Review and test the code before using it.
• Be able to explain the logic behind your implementation.
• Identify and fix issues instead of blindly copying AI responses.
• Learn from AI-generated solutions rather than depending entirely on them.

AI can help you write code, but you must understand and take responsibility for what you build.

• Developers with up to 1 year of experience.
• Self-taught developers with relevant projects.
• Candidates who have completed Laravel training or internships.

Language Requirements: Candidates must be comfortable communicating in at least one of the following languages: English, Hindi, or Punjabi. Basic English reading and writing skills are required for technical work.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
