Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and RESTful API development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.

• Build high-performance, secure, and reusable RESTful APIs.

• Develop and maintain Microservices-based applications using Spring Boot.

• Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.

• Integrate applications with databases, third-party services, and external APIs.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.

• Ensure application security, data protection, and compliance with industry best practices.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Must Have Skills

• 7–20 years of experience in Java backend development.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot framework.

• Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture.

• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

• Experience with JPA/Hibernate for database interaction.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.

• Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools.

• Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have Skills

• Experience with Spring Cloud.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.

• Exposure to Redis or other caching technologies.

• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.

• Knowledge of OAuth2, JWT, Spring Security, and application security best practices.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
