Job Title: Software Delivery Manager - Embedded / Model-Based Development (AI Focus)
Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Software Delivery Manager to
lead our embedded and model-based development teams, with a strategic focus on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our automotive software products and processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, safety-compliant, and timely delivery of complex embedded systems, including those powered by AI. This role requires a blend of technical acumen, strong leadership, and excellent project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor embedded software development teams, fostering a culture of technical
excellence and continuous improvement.
• Define and optimize software development processes, ensuring adherence to industry
best practices and standards (e.g., ISO26262).
• Oversee the implementation of static code analysis, code validation, and verification
strategies across projects.
• Manage the integration of C, Embedded C, and C++ development efforts, ensuring robust
and efficient codebases.
• Drive the adoption and effective utilization of model-based development methodologies,
including the integration of AI/ML models into the development workflow.
• Strategize and manage the development and integration of AUTOSAR components and
non-AUTOSAR/legacy software.
• Establish and maintain effective CI/CD pipelines and release management processes to
ensure efficient and predictable software deliveries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to define
requirements, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment.
• Lead the strategic integration of AI into embedded software development, overseeing
projects that involve AI/ML model development, deployment, and validation in
automotive contexts.
• Manage the delivery of AI-driven features, ensuring technical feasibility, resource
allocation, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with ISO26262 for software quality, criticality, and tool qualification
across all projects.
• Report on project status, risks, and resource utilization to senior management.
Mandatory Requirements:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related
field.
• Extensive experience (e.g., 7+ years) in embedded software development, with a
significant portion in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex embedded software projects in
the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of C, Embedded C, and C++ programming principles and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with ISO26262 for functional safety,
including software qualification and tool qualification.
• Experience with static code analysis tools (e.g., ASTREE, POLYSPACE, Coverity) and their
integration into development workflows.
• Familiarity with Python for automation and scripting.
• Solid understanding of AUTOSAR architecture and its components, as well as experience
managing projects involving non-AUTOSAR and legacy software.
• Expertise in software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, CI/CD, and release
management.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects involving AI/ML development and
integration into embedded systems.
• Strategic understanding of AI's role in automotive software, including challenges and
opportunities in AI model delivery and deployment.
• Experience leading teams of AI engineers and embedded developers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for model-based design.
• PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms and MLOps practices.
• Deep understanding of automotive ECU architectures and vehicle networks.
• A proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
