Objectives of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to govern and drive multiple project tracks across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery environments. The role will facilitate Scrum ceremonies, establish delivery governance through JIRA, track milestones and dependencies, manage risks and action items, and provide clear project progress updates to leadership and key stakeholders. The incumbent must be able to drive accountability, remove impediments, and escalate delivery concerns where required.
Responsibilities
Facilitate daily Scrum calls, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives; capture decisions, actions, owners, and target dates.
Drive delivery across multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously, ensuring alignment on scope, milestones, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
Support Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project delivery models and ensure adherence to agreed governance and SDLC processes.
Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Engineering, Testing, and business stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum and resolve impediments.
Monitor sprint commitments, project milestones, release plans, risks, issues, and cross-track dependencies through closure.
Proactively follow up on action items, challenge overdue commitments, and escalate unresolved blockers with clear impact and recommended next steps.
Maintain project plans, RAID logs, governance trackers, decision logs, and status reports with accurate and timely information.
Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives, lessons learned, and implementation of practical process improvements.
JIRA Management and Reporting
Configure and maintain JIRA boards, workflows, sprint structures, issue types, components, filters, and tracking mechanisms.
Create and manage JIRA dashboards covering sprint progress, backlog health, velocity, defects, risks, dependencies, milestones, and overdue actions.
Ensure user stories, tasks, defects, action items, owners, due dates, and status updates are accurate and consistently maintained.
Monitor data quality and reporting accuracy across project boards and drive timely updates from workstream owners.
Generate weekly and monthly delivery reports using JIRA data and highlight progress, exceptions, capacity concerns, and upcoming priorities.
Governance and Leadership Reporting
Prepare concise, leadership-ready updates covering accomplishments, milestone status, upcoming priorities, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions required.
Present project progress and delivery outlook to senior leadership, clients, and governance forums in a clear and structured manner.
Identify schedule, scope, resource, quality, or dependency risks early and coordinate mitigation plans with accountable owners.
Escalate critical or ageing issues at the appropriate governance level and track agreed remediation actions to closure.
Support steering committee and program governance meetings with fact-based reporting and complete follow-through on decisions.
Stakeholder and Team Management
Coordinate effectively with cross-functional, distributed, and client-facing teams across business, product, technology, and testing functions.
Facilitate structured discussions, resolve conflicts, and drive stakeholders toward decisions, ownership, and measurable outcomes.
Manage expectations through timely, transparent communication and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Coach teams on Agile ways of working, delivery discipline, effective use of JIRA, and continuous improvement practices.
Technical Skills
Strong hands-on expertise in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Advanced working knowledge of JIRA, including boards, workflows, JQL filters, dashboards, reports, issue tracking, and administration concepts.
Good understanding of sprint planning, backlog management, velocity, burn-down, capacity planning, release tracking, and dependency management.
Experience with project planning, RAID management, SDLC governance, delivery metrics, and leadership reporting.
Working knowledge of Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Asana, or ServiceNow is preferred.
Soft Skills (Desired)
Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving, and attention to delivery detail.
Ability to influence without authority and drive accountability across multiple teams.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe, PMI-ACP, PMP, or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
Work Experience Requirements - Must Have
8-10 years of overall experience in project delivery, project management, or Scrum Master roles.
Proven experience managing at least two concurrent projects or multiple workstreams with interdependent milestones.
Demonstrated experience leading Scrum ceremonies and driving action items, risks, issues, and blockers to closure.
Hands-on experience creating JIRA dashboards and producing project reporting for leadership and senior stakeholders.
Experience working across Agile and Waterfall delivery environments, including hybrid execution models.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects or workstreams end-to-end and operate effectively in client-facing environments.
Preferred Experience
Experience in digital transformation, automation, analytics, AI, enterprise applications, or technology implementation programs.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams and multi-vendor or partner ecosystems.
Exposure to finance transformation or ERP environments such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable.
