Key Responsibilities

Develop sophisticated algorithms for improved search and ranking in contact management.
Design and build highly scalable distributed backend systems.
Collaborate across teams to tackle complex technical challenges within the Alexa ecosystem.
Influence product and technology strategy by defining features and refining system architecture.
Set up the architectural foundation for future product phases.
Maintain a commitment to teamwork, strong communication, and best practices in software development.
Write code, run tests, and iterate on designs while reviewing pull requests and monitoring deployments.
Work closely with product partners to translate requirements into technical plans.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, focusing on design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
