Role Overview
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Java backend development for our Greater Hyderabad Area location. In this role, you will contribute to technology initiatives and projects, focusing on service quality and availability improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects related to technology, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts.
- Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment.
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs, including upgrades and deployments.
- Review and analyze technical assignments related to low to medium risk deliverables, requiring research and evaluation of alternative technology domains.
- Present recommendations for resolving issues and escalate as needed to meet established service level agreements.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of security and compliance requirements within the technology domain.
- Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Java Backend and UI Development using JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS.
- Good understanding of cloud fundamentals on PCF, Azure, or OpenShift, AI, and related tools, including Copilot and LLMs.
- Experience in microservice application development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, Jenkins, GitHub, deployment, and testing tools.
- Working experience in creating unit and integration tests with JUnit.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices design principles, with hands-on experience in building scalable and resilient distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking, focusing on delivering innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively and interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Prior experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies, focusing on delivering iterative and incremental value to stakeholders.
- Strong commitment to quality, with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous improvement in software development practices and processes.
