About the Role
Codes For Tomorrow is looking for an experienced Node.js Developer with 4+ years of experience who has strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, backend development, and API design. The ideal candidate should be capable of building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
· Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code using JavaScript and TypeScript.
· Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
· Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
· Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
· Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms.
· Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
· Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
· Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, QA engineers, and other team members.
· Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
· Use Git and GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
· Follow coding standards, best practices, and development processes.
Required Skills
· Experience: Minimum 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
· Node.js: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and backend application development.
· JavaScript: Excellent understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+).
· TypeScript: Strong proficiency in TypeScript and type-safe application development.
· Frameworks: Experience with Express.js or similar Node.js frameworks.
· APIs: Strong knowledge of REST API development and integration.
· Databases: Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
· Version Control: Proficiency with Git and GitHub.
· Testing: Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
· Security: Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
· Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
· Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
· Experience with Redis, message queues, or background job processing.
· Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
