Job Description:

Job role: SQL Server DBA & Automation Specialist

Location: Remote Initially after confirmation they can switch to hybrid(Bengaluru)

Total Experience: 2-4yrs

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with 2–4 years of experience in SQL Server administration, database monitoring, and automation using Python & PowerShell. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, availability, and reliability while automating routine operational tasks. 

Key Responsibilities 

• SQL Server DBA Activities 

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances 

• Perform database backups, restores, and recovery strategies 

• Monitor and optimize database performance (indexes, queries, execution plans) 

• Manage database security (logins, roles, permissions) 

• Handle patching, upgrades, and migrations 

• Troubleshoot performance issues, blocking, deadlocks 

• Server Monitoring & Maintenance 

• Monitor server health 

• Track:  

• CPU / Memory / Disk utilization 

• Slow queries and long-running jobs 

• Perform routine maintenance:  

• Index rebuild/reorganize 

• Update statistics 

• Cleanup jobs/logs 

• Ensure SLA adherence and uptime 

•  Incident & Support 

• Investigate production issues and provide quick fixes 

• Participate in on-call / support rotation 

• Root cause analysis and documentation
