Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior PHP Laravel Developer with 4 to 8 years of experience to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance web applications, robust RESTful APIs, and scalable backend architectures. You will play a key role in technical feature planning, code reviews, database optimization, and ensuring high code quality.

Key Responsibilities1. Application Development & Backend Architecture

• Feature Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, testable, and reusable backend code using PHP 8.xand Laravel.
• API Engineering: Architect and consume RESTful APIs, microservices, and third-party integrations (e.g., payment gateways, messaging services, external SaaS).
• Database Management: Write optimized complex SQL queries, design database schemas, manage migrations, and implement indexing/caching using MySQL / PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Asynchronous Processing: Implement queues, jobs, and background workers using Laravel Horizon / Redis to handle heavy background tasks efficiently.

2. Code Quality & Performance Optimization

• Code Reviews: Conduct regular code reviews to enforce coding standards, security best practices, and maintainability.
• Performance Tuning: Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, optimize slow queries, and ensure low-latency application responses.
• Automated Testing: Write comprehensive unit and integration tests using PHPUnit or Pest to maintain high test coverage.
• Security: Implement web application security measures (OWASP standards, CSRF, XSS prevention, authentication via Sanctum/Passport/JWT).

3. Teamwork & Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver features on schedule.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers on best coding practices and design patterns.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 4 to 8 years of professional web development experience, with at least 3+ years focused primarily on Laravel.
• Core Technical Stack:
• PHP: Deep understanding of modern PHP features (PHP 8+), OOP principles, traits, namespaces, and SOLID design patterns.
• Laravel Framework: Strong expertise in Eloquent ORM, Service Providers, Middleware, Blade/Inertia, Queues, Events, and Artisan CLI.
• Database: Strong hands-on experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL (indexing, query execution plans, normalization).
• Caching & Search: Hands-on experience with Redis, Memcached, or ElasticSearch/Algolia.
• Version Control & DevOps Basics:
• Proficiency in Git (branching strategies, merge requests).
• Experience with Docker, basic AWS/cloud deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Frontend Basics: Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Livewire/Alpine.js) is a strong plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant practical experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Laravel ecosystem tools (Vapor, Reverb, Octane, Nova, Forge).
• Exposure to modern microservices or event-driven architecture.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes, server management, or cloud infrastructure.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹53,000.00 per month
