Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer for a Canadian technology opportunity. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on skills in Microsoft Azure, cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, and site reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure.
Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other infrastructure-as-code tools.
Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.
Automate infrastructure and workflows using scripting, Azure services, and DevOps tools.
Improve system reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
Set up monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability.
Support production environments and resolve technical incidents.
Collaborate with software engineering, security, data, and architecture teams.
Improve deployment processes and developer experience through automation.
Mentor engineers and help establish technical standards and best practices.
Requirements
Minimum 7 years of overall IT experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of scripting, automation, monitoring, and production support.
Strong understanding of infrastructure as code and cloud platform management.
Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
