Interactive 3D Web Developer
Location: Remote

Salary: ₹40,000–₹45,000 per month (Based on skills and experience)
About Printsy
Printsy is an Australian startup in the 3D printing industry, developing premium-quality 3D printing filaments and a growing library of original 3D printable models for makers, creators, and businesses worldwide.
We're looking for an Interactive 3D Web Developer who can build advanced browser-based 3D experiences, product configurators, and model customisation tools. Our primary focus is creating interactive websites where users can customise 3D models in real time and export their customised models for further use, including 3D printing.
Alongside interactive 3D development, you'll also work on custom web applications, Shopify development, and e-commerce integrations.
Responsibilities
- Develop interactive 3D websites and browser-based applications where users can view, rotate, configure, and customise 3D models in real time.
- Build advanced 3D configurators and model customisers with options for colours, materials, components, dimensions, and other model properties.
- Implement functionality to export or download customised 3D models in formats such as STL, OBJ, GLB, or other suitable formats.
- Develop tools that allow users to customise 3D models and prepare them for 3D printing where applicable.
- Build interactive 3D experiences with smooth controls, real-time previews, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Work with existing 3D assets and collaborate with our design team to bring interactive product concepts to life.
- Optimise 3D rendering, geometry processing, model loading, and performance across desktop and mobile devices.
- Develop supporting web applications, dashboards, and tools for Printsy's 3D model library and e-commerce ecosystem.
- Customise Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Develop custom Shopify features, apps, and integrations to connect 3D experiences with products, carts, and purchasing workflows.
- Integrate APIs, databases, and backend services to support interactive applications.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Three.js, React Three Fiber, Babylon.js, or similar 3D web technologies.
- Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks for building interactive web applications.
- Understanding of 3D formats such as STL, OBJ, GLB, and glTF.
- Experience with 3D model customisation, geometry processing, and model export functionality.
- Ability to build real-time interactive configurators and browser-based 3D editors.
- Understanding of 3D printing workflows and geometry requirements is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with backend development, APIs, databases, and deployment.
Shopify & E-commerce Development
- Experience with Shopify Liquid and theme customisation.
- Ability to develop custom Shopify sections, storefront features, and product experiences.
- Familiarity with Shopify APIs, custom apps, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Ability to connect interactive 3D configurators with e-commerce workflows.
What We're Looking For
Our priority is interactive 3D web development, not standard website development. We're looking for someone who can build functional 3D experiences where users can modify models, see changes in real time, and export the final result.
You should be comfortable taking projects from concept to implementation, solving technical challenges independently, and building reliable applications with a strong focus on usability and performance.
Experience with procedural modelling, CAD systems, parametric geometry, or browser-based 3D editors is highly desirable.
