Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Data Engineer with 10+ years of IT experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-based data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS data services, data lake architectures, and modern data engineering practices, with hands-on experience in building high-performance data pipelines and optimizing data processing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable AWS-based data platforms and data pipelines.

• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using AWS-native services.

• Develop serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda.

• Create, manage, and optimize AWS Glue jobs for data transformation.

• Design and maintain data lakes using Amazon S3 and AWS Lake Formation.

• Query and analyze large datasets using Amazon Athena.

• Implement secure and efficient data movement using AWS DataSync.

• Design and optimize data storage using Parquet and Apache Iceberg table formats.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance following AWS best practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver robust data solutions.

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.

• Experience designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines.

• Strong understanding of data lake architecture and cloud-native data engineering.

• Knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
