Job Description

Role Overview

PAR Technology is seeking a Software Engineer II with expertise in Ruby on Rails (ROR) to join our team in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. With over four decades of experience in restaurant technology, we empower brands worldwide to create lasting connections with their guests through our innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Enterprise Grade Systems and programs that are scalable and maintainable.
Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code.
Translate software requirements into stable, high-performance software.
Play a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient microservices distributed architecture.
Ensure packages and programs are well documented and have reasonable test coverage.
Coordinate with team members working on different layers of the infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails (ROR).
Experience in developing enterprise-grade systems.
Proficient in Databricks.
Experience designing web services.
Knowledge of scaling systems that have database bottlenecks.
Exposure to Microservices architecture.
Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, SSO, Authentication, and Identity Federation.
Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes (Pods and Meshes).
Knowledge of MySQL.
Experience in building and tuning asynchronous, high-throughput background processing using Sidekiq and Kafka-based event pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong commitment to collaborative problem-solving and quality product development.
