Job Responsibilities:
About the Role: We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience who possesses strong manual testing foundations alongside hands-on expertise in Playwright. In this role, you will execute end-to-end testing, write clean Playwright automation scripts, and work closely with our engineering and product teams to ensure software quality. If you have a solid background in manual test execution, API testing, and writing test scripts using Playwright, we’d love to speak with you.
Automation Testing: Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
Manual Testing: Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, and smoke test suites across web applications.
API Testing: Validate REST API endpoints, response payloads, status codes, and backend data.
Defect Management: Log, track, and verify software bugs through their lifecycle using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Test Documentation: Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, execution reports, and maintain test documentation.
Collaboration: Partner with developers, product owners, and business analysts in an Agile environment to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
Skills:
Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
Manual Testing: Strong proficiency in manual testing concepts, test case design, execution, and exploratory testing.
Playwright Automation: Practical, hands-on experience scripting and executing web automation tests using Playwright.
Programming: Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript for automation script development.
API Testing: Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman or Playwright API testing capabilities.
Web Fundamentals: Good understanding of web browser mechanics, locators, assertions, and handling asynchronous elements.
Version Control: Basic familiarity with Git (clone, pull, push, branch management).
Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to debug test failures and log clear bug reports.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to database testing and writing basic SQL queries.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development setup.
Understanding of test execution reporting and managing test scripts.
