Role Overview
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, you will be a key member of an agile team within the Consumer and Community Bank Trust & Security, Identity Product. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and deliver secure, stable, and scalable technology products while supporting the firm's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while employing innovative approaches to solve technical problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring that design constraints are met during software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to enhance software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events focused on new and emerging technologies.
- Foster a team culture that values diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
- Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while ensuring outputs are validated through peer review and automated testing.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to maximize the value of automation.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and AWS.
- Practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in coding in one or more programming languages.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Solid grasp of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, with the ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern middleware services technologies.
