Role Overview
As a Custom Software Engineer at Accenture in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, you will develop custom software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems or applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices, you will deliver scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and implement effective, secure, and maintainable software.
- Conduct quality assurance testing, including unit, developer, integration, UI, performance, as well as test automation and manual testing.
- Design and optimize databases.
- Maintain build pipelines, related infrastructure, and middleware.
- Ensure software craftsmanship by adhering to clean code principles, conducting peer reviews, and engaging in pair programming.
- Identify potential for synergies, optimizations, and refactorings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders for feature evaluation, planning, discussion, and consulting, while gaining and sharing insights into the business domain.
- Operate and monitor delivered artifacts and products.
- Provide 3rd level support and manage special responsibilities such as release management.
- Work closely with other developers, Product Owners, UX/UI designers, business and systems analysts, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Practical experience in one or more relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adherence to clean code principles.
- Experience with various software development techniques (e.g., TDD, BDD, ATDD, Pair Programming).
- Creativity in finding innovative and effective solutions.
- Strong identification with the respective product and a sense of responsibility.
- Good communication skills to consult stakeholders and collaborate with team members.
