Role Overview
As a Custom Software Engineer at Accenture in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, you will develop custom software solutions, enhancing components across systems or applications. Utilizing modern frameworks and agile practices, you will deliver scalable and high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Write and implement effective, secure, and maintainable software.
- Conduct quality assurance through testing (Unit, developer, integration, UI, performance), including test automation and manual testing.
- Design and optimize databases.
- Maintain build pipelines, related infrastructure, and middleware.
- Ensure software craftsmanship, focusing on inner software quality, clean code, peer reviews, and pair programming.
- Identify potential synergies, optimizations, and refactorings.
- Engage with stakeholders for feature evaluation, planning, discussion, and consulting, while gaining and sharing insights into the business domain.
- Operate and monitor delivered artifacts and products.
- Provide 3rd level support and manage special responsibilities like release management.
- Collaborate closely with other developers, Product Owners, UX/UI designers, business and systems analysts, and other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Practical experience in one or more relevant programming languages and frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adherence to clean code principles.
- Familiarity with various software development techniques (e.g., TDD, BDD, ATDD, Pair Programming).
- Creativity in finding innovative and effective solutions.
- Strong identification with the product and a sense of responsibility.
- Good communication skills to consult stakeholders and collaborate with team members.
