Role Overview
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase in Hyderabad, Telangana, you will advance your software engineering career by being a key member of an agile team. You will design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner, supporting the firm's business objectives through critical technology solutions across various functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while innovating beyond conventional approaches to solve technical problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that operate synchronously with relevant systems.
- Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to enhance code quality, delivery speed, and productivity on complex deliverables, ensuring validation through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to maximize the value of automation capabilities.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring that design constraints are adhered to during software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
- Proficient in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Practical experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools, demonstrating the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to security standards; ability to guide peers on safe usage within team practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
