Key Responsibilities
- Execute software development based on reviewed designs and conduct thorough developer tests to maintain code quality.
- Perform testing on newly developed software during the internal test phase (functional integration test) and promptly address any identified issues.
- Take responsibility for resolving software issues discovered during internal and external tests to ensure a smooth deployment process.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues in both existing and new code, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exhibit excellent development, quality, and delivery skills within the project team, actively contributing to short development and release cycles.
- Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination for successful project outcomes.
- Implement and adhere to agile software engineering methods, actively participating in the complete software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, quality assurance, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience in server-side Java development.
- Proficient in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Eclipse Link, SOAP, REST APIs, Microservices, and OData.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript (ES6), CSS, JSON, and XML.
- Experience with UI development frameworks like React.js, Angular, or UI5 (preferred) using MVC Pattern.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud native development experience on platforms like Azure, AWS, or OpenShift (preferable).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs on the backend.
- Tooling exposure in Eclipse and Visual Studio Code.
- Excellent understanding of Design Patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
- Understanding of functional and object-oriented paradigms, applying them effectively in software development.
- Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and business analysts to translate design concepts and business requirements into functional web applications.
- Knowledge of creating responsive and user-friendly interfaces that work seamlessly on various devices and browsers.
- Experience in conducting unit testing and debugging to identify and fix issues in the code.
- Experience in financial or banking systems is an added advantage.
- Academic degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
